The Centre will focus on the two focused areas: Reservoir Sedimentation and Seismic Hazard Mapping and Analysis in the initial years. The new areas shall be added as per the need in the implementation of the dam safety act. In the long run, the Centre shall deal with the complete life cycle of the dams.
The research needs related to various courses of the M. Tech Program shall be met by strengthening the concerned existing laboratories in the Departments by creating additional experimental setups for the needs of multiple program courses.
